Wedding Flowers at Grand Central Hotel

Last weekend we got the opportunity to fill the Grand Central Hotel in Glasgow with beautiful Avalanche and Sweet Avalanche roses. Guests were greeted by an avenue of floor standing candelabras to the chuppah ceremony area. Dinner was served in the ballroom where we brought some old fashioned glamour with trailing pearl beads attached to our silver candelabras.

Scotland Means Business

It was a pleasure for us to be involved in the two day Scotland Means Business campaign with VisitScotand, allowing us to work in two of our city's finest buildings: the Kelvingrove Museum and the Science Centre. We sculpted yellow tulips into fishbowl vases for the Science Museum but went for more Scottish themed colours and flowers for Kelvingrove combining thistles with coolwater roses and purple veronica.

Vanda Orchid Bat Chayall

We are incredibly lucky at Mood Flowers to be able to decorate some amazing events with flowers. Last night we worked with the very talented Display Works to create a stunning Bat Chayall, using lots of eucalyptus, brunia berries and hundreds of purple vanda orchids.

House Beautiful

If you're looking for ways to decorate your home with flowers and foliage this Christmas then check out pages 36-42 of the current issue of House Beautiful magazine. Nick helped Rosalind Erskine style the Mooneys' house with lots of fresh eucalyptus, fir, Grand Prix roses, mango calla lilies and red cymbidium orchids.

Wedding at Hotel du Vin

We love it when brides choose bold colours for their wedding flowers. On Saturday we provided flowers for a wedding at Hotel du Vin at One Devonshire Gardens using Purple Power roses and steel blue viburnum berries - a wonderful combination.

Homes & Interiors Scotland Exhibition

We had a successful Homes and Interiors Scotland show last weekend with lots of interest in our alternative Christmas tree, demonstrations and Flower School classes. Here are a few photos from the weekend.

Homes and Interiors Scotland 2011

Next weekend we shall once again be taking part in the Homes and Interiors Scotland Exhibition at the SECC from Friday 28th October until Sunday 30th October. The show is open from 10am until 5pm each day. This is the 7th year we have taken part in the show and we can't wait.
