Perfect Sunday Wedding

Today we set off to Cameron House to set up a beautiful wedding combining Aqua and Purple Power roses in large low cylinder vases. We managed to squeeze all 20 table centres into the van along with the bridal party flowers and headed to the bonnie banks of Loch Lomond. Congratulations to Kim and Rob on their special day!

Choose A Colour Theme

If you're planning your wedding then our advice is to choose a colour theme of no more than three colours and stick to it. This will enhance the overall look of your wedding. Two of the weddings we created flowers for yesterday at Cameron House and Enterkine House chose black & white and orange & cerise pink - both perfect combinations.

Summer colours

Yesterday it poured with rain all day so hopefully our flowers brought a little summer sun to Norma and William on their wedding day. We combined peonies, hydrangea, roses, gloriosa lilies, stock and cymbidium orchids to create these bright table centres.

University of Glasgow Chapel.

We love it when brides go all out with their ceremony flowers. These massive urn arrangements at the University of Glasgow Chapel on Saturday were complemented with bolder bouquets and beautiful centrepieces for the tables later on in the day.

David Austin Roses

Good things come to those who wait... we love using David Austin roses but only get the chance a couple of times a year. These wedding bouquets were created with varieties Juliet and Patience.

Wedding Fever

We are now in the full grip of wedding fever which will last through until September. We love creating different designs and colour schemes for each of our brides to ensure that their weddings are all unique and individual. This season has started with bold blasts of colour as well as the more classic whites and ivories with peonies, roses and hydrangea featuring heavily over the past week.

A classic white wedding at Cameron House

The very next day we created the bouquets in shades of deep pink, lilacs and raspberries followed by elegant vintage style candelabra in the Lomond Suite at Cameron House

New Covent Garden Flower Market

Nick & Vivienne are just back from yet another trip to New Covent Garden Flower Market in London. Inspired by seasonal peonies, giant eremurus and tropical curcuma as well as a multitude of vases and props in all shapes and sizes they headed back to Glasgow with a full van load.

Shirley Temple peonies

The tradition of naming flowers after movie stars, princesses and celebrities dates back decades. Who could resist this beautiful pale pink peony named "Shirley Temple" combined with Akito roses and hydrangea in a bridal bouquet?

Father's Day on The Hour

Nick popped down to the STV studios on Wednesday to show The Hour's presenters, Michelle McManus and Sanjeev Kohli how to create the perfect Father's Day gift - a miniature golf course made from bun moss, flat moss and a heather plant.  Click on the link to watch the show.

Beautiful wedding on the bonnie banks...

It is always great when our previous bride's get back in touch to share the photographs from their special day with us.  Gail and Johnny celebrated their marriage on the bonnie banks of Loch Lomond with their ceremony at Luss Parish Church and reception at Cameron House.  A huge thanks to the happy couple and mother of the bride for sharing these with us!
