Japanese Inspiration at House for an Art Lover

We loved the colours and textures from today's wedding at House for an Art Lover. Purple vanda orchid, blue hydrangea and thistles to tie in with some beautiful details from the bride and groom: origami cranes - what's not to love!

Flower Exhibition at House for an Art Lover

We are delighted to announce the opening of our exhibition "The Flowers of Charles Rennie Mackintosh" at House for an Art Lover today. We explore the relationship Mackintosh had with flowers recreating some of his famous paintings and taking inspiration from other elements of his design work to create floral installations.

The exhibition will run from today until Thursday 25th April from 10am until 4pm each day. Entry is free to the Mackintosh Suite (does not include normal audio tour).

We also have a few places left at our hands on flower school class including afternoon tea this Thursday on the final afternoon of the exhibition. Call 0141 353 4770 to book your place.

Stunning Photography

When Katy married Peter at House for an Art Lover at the end of August last year we knew Fiona at Fiona MacNeill Photography would capture the day perfectly. The combination of Avalanche roses and purple Vanda orchids were set against the stunning backdrop of the venue.

Wishing the happy couple a wonderful future together!

Our final weddings of 2011

This week we completed our final weddings of the year at Hotel du Vin at One Devonshire Gardens and House for an Art Lover.

For the first wedding we combined crisp white ranunculus with anemones, Viviane roses and delicate helleborus. For the second we used hundreds of Coolwater roses to complement the colour scheme of the Music Room at House for an Art Lover.

We wish both couples our best wishes as they start 2012 together!
