Last Saturday was the start of a busy summer wedding season. Our teams headed to Hotel du Vin, Cameron House, Hopetoun House and Partick Borough Halls and each wedding could not have been more different from the others. A combination of Purple Power and Naranja roses, gloriosa, freesia and lisianthus went to one bride. Whilst the next chose a spring combination of daffodils, hyacinths, ranunculus and tulips.
The other two brides chose classic white combinations with one opting for lily of the valley, freesia and ranunculus and the other for gypsophila and aster.
The sun shone, all our brides were delighted and all the set ups were completed on schedule. A good start for the busy season ahead.
Here's a few more photos of some of the venue flowers. We're sure you can match each one to the bouquet!

Pre wedding lunch
We love it when our clients come to us for flowers for private parties. This was one of the table centres at a pre wedding lunch last week. A simple spring combination of hyacinths, veronica and lisianthus in vibrant blues and purples.
CBS comes to town!
Glasgow has been a mecca for international movie stars this year and we love to get involved providing flowers for their hotel suites and dressing rooms. Last week the CBS show The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson was in town and we were asked to provide flowers for the dressings rooms of Mila Kunis, Ariel Tweto and Michael Clarke Duncan. The vases were a combination of thistle, stock, trachelium as well as James Storey and Vanda orchids - a little bit of Scotland with a Hollywood twist.

Woman of Influence Awards 2012
Back in September 2011 we took the crazy idea of an orchid lunch to the committee of the Woman of Influence Awards in aid of Action for Children. Soon after, the concept grew arms and legs and before we knew it we were on our way to meeting some of the most influential women in Scotland and designing 32 different table centres representing past winners, this year's nominees, sponsors and a host of personalities.
Nick travelled the length and breadth of the country meeting, conceptualising and designing the centrepieces, catching up with the likes of Katie Melua just before she jumped on a plane to Berlin, rummaging through Kirsty Wark's kitchen cupboards for the perfect vessel to display her flowers and talking Olympics and orchids with Liz McColgan.
Last Sunday the team from Mood Flowers presented our orchid lunch to 350 guests at Mar Hall and the response was amazing. More importantly the lunch raised more than £100,000 for Action for Children.
We bring you the stories behing all 32 designs. Photos are courtesy of our good friend Fiona at Fiona MacNeill Photography.
Blythswood Square Hotel generously gave a fabulous afternoon tea auction prize. Their design featured Cognac Vanda and pink cymbidium cupcakes as well as orange and pink makora orchid "cheese and ham" sandwiches.
