Summer colours

We love it when a bride chooses bold bright colours. Yesterday, we combined cerise pink peonies with blue delphiniums, Amalia roses, purple lisianthus and sweet peas. The sun even managed to peak out for a few hours between the showers.

Wedding peonies

We love a mid week wedding, especially when it involved the flowers of the season - peonies.

Avalanche roses

If you wish to create a classic elegant look for your wedding flowers then you can't go wrong with avalanche roses. This chic and stylish Cameron House wedding on Saturday had the Mood Flowers look stamped all over it.

A little inspiration from Laura's wedding if you're looking to add a touch of soft colour to your bridal bouquet.

On Saturday Nick, Abbie and Emma headed south to create a little bit of the Caribbean in sunny Ayrshire. From the staircase to the wrist corsages and the bridal bouquet to the marquee, each element of the wedding came together to create a stunning look.

A weekend of weddings...

This weekend we got to work with a great array of colours and textures with four weddings taking place at Lodge on the Loch, Mar Hall and marquees at private houses. Here's look at how we transformed the raw materials into the final product for three of the weddings

Brigadoon Wedding

Yesterday, Nick headed down to Brigadoon in Ayrshire to set up a beautiful wedding with fresh lilac, blue and green colours. He incorporated Ocean Song roses, hydrangea, echinops, white thistle, brunia berries and senecio into the bouquets as well as the ceremony and table flowers. The bride, Laura, was a dream to work with and we wish her and Craig a very happy future together.

Flower School

We finished the 2010/11 Flower School year with the Luxury Hand Tied Bouquet class on Saturday. Ten keen participants surprised themselves with their stunning bouquets of vanda orchids, Grand Prix and Amalia roses and gerbera.

The school takes a break for the summer but will return for its 4th year in September 2011. Look out for details of all the new classes on our website in the coming weeks.

South China Morning Post

We were very excited to receive our copy of the South China Morning Post in this morning's mail. It took over two weeks to wing its way here from Hong Kong.

Nick was invited to give an interview with this publication during his trip to Hong Kong last month where he discussed his career to date as well as current trends in wedding flowers.

Hopetoun House

We've had a busy weekend creating the flowers for 8 weddings and watching another one on TV. Most of the team were working at some of our favourite venues like Cameron House, 29 Royal Exchange Square and House for an Art Lover whilst Vivienne, Abbie and Brian headed through to Hopetoun House on Saturday to set up some beautiful flowers in this stunning venue.
