Purple & Ivory Wedding Flowers

Purple and ivory are proving to be one of the most popular colour combinations during our 2011 wedding season. More and more of our brides are choosing to include deep violets, purples and aubergines for their wedding flowers. Luckily Mother Nature, via those clever growers in Holland, provides hydrangea, lisianthus and vanda orchids in these shades.

Shona & Bobby got married at Glenskirlie House last Saturday. Have a look at the beautiful bridal bouquets and fabulous table centrepieces with sunken orchids inside the vase.

Mr & Mrs Meiklejohn

A huge thanks to Emma-Lousie and Cameron Meiklejohn for sending us photographs from their big day at Glenskirlie House Hotel in April this year.  It is always great to hear back from our brides once they have settled into married life!

Here comes the summer sun...

The summer sun has finally made it to the west coast of Scotland and there couldn't have been a better week with two outdoor ceremonies planned amongst our eight weddings. Highlights of the week including a contemporary castle wedding at Glenskirlie, an outdoor ceremony at Gleddoch overlooking the Firth of Clyde and an outdoor chuppah ceremony at Turnberry with beautiful views out to Ailsa Craig.

Summer wedding

Despite the rain, today's wedding at Glenskirlie Castle was a riot of bright cerise and orange flowers. We combined roses, gerbera and phalaenopis orchids to create bouquets, buttonholes, ceremony vases, table centres and cake flowers.
