Here Comes Summer!

At Mood Flowers we love classic white and ivory wedding flowers but we also love it when brides bring us a bold vibrant colour scheme that allows us to create something unique. A few weeks ago (when the sun used to shine!) we designed this wedding at a church in Hamilton followed by the reception at Bothwell Bridge Hotel. Corals and pinks are a perfect combination.

Mar Hall Wedding

A few weeks again we designed the flowers for a beautiful wedding where the bride's attention to detail was perfect. The wedding started at St Andrews Cathedral in Glasgow before moving on the the wonderful setting of the Grand Hall at Mar Hall. We filled both venues with ivory hydrangea, Avalanche roses, lisianthus and silvery foliages of stachys and cinerea.

Hello Petal, The Herald Magazine

Pick up a copy of The Herald newspaper today and you will see the photos on pages 24-30 of the magazine. Last week the paper's fashion team headed by stylist Carrie McAdam and photographer Kirsty Anderson joined us for an afternoon at the studio. We put together 4 different looks for them:  a collection of vintage jars with mini posies, hydrangea and gypsophila clouds, a flower shop backdrop and the classic American Beauty pose using hundreds of rose petals. Here are a few behind the scenes photos taken on the day.

Flowers for Her Majesty The Queen

Today we had the honour of designing and creating all the entrance pieces and table centres for HM The Queen's lunch in Glasgow. We combined Bela hydrangea with eremurus, sunflowers and Ilios and Shine roses to complement the royal blue carpet and gold features in the marquee.

Cameron House Wedding June 2012

On the 8th June, we had the opportunity of working with a wonderful bride and the stunning settings of Glasgow University Chapel and Cameron House allowing us to create elegant wedding flowers using lily of the valley, Avalanche, Sweet Avalanche and Talea roses, peonies and lisianthus.

Wedding Fever!

There's a fine line between designing flowers for 31 weddings in a month and finding time to blog about them.   We failed the second part and didn't manage a single blog in June! Here's some photos from a few of the weddings at the start of last month.
